Experience
I first started tutoring in high school, where I provided intensive, one-on-one tutoring to fellow students. I really enjoyed helping others learn, so I continued to do so through my time in college and now have eight years of experience. During this time I have tutored students ranging in ages from 12 to 20, and my background includes working with students in summer programs and working as a TA for first-year college students. I am a recent graduate of the University of Chicago, where I earned degrees in Math and Biology. I am comfortable tutoring students in basic courses as well as more advanced, in the math and biology fields. I also have experience with standardized test preparation, and can tutor students in all subjects of the ACT and SAT. One of my goals as a tutor is to help students fully understand a concept so that they are able to work through to a solution. This helps tremendously with test taking, as students are more confident in approaching and solving a problem that may initially have them stumped. In addition to tutoring, I love to read and cook. I live in Chicago, and have recently moved to the North Side, which I'm excited about because I have a new neighborhood to explore.
