Experience

Science, including biology, physics, and chemistry, is my favorite subject and I enjoy tutoring many scientific subject areas and concepts to other students. I also have the important role of a writing tutor. My enthusiasm, however, is most evident in the sciences, so I can teach these subjects so that they are interesting and my students can better understand them. I can tutor math and English and I am fully capable of preparing students for the ACT, MCAT, SAT, and other standardized tests, their components, and demands for studying and preparation.I started tutoring in high school by helping my fellow students with their essays. In college, I continued to work in this capacity as a writing tutor. I was also able to help with the unique demands of chemistry lab reports. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry, concentrating on biochemistry, at Washington University in St. Louis. I continue in my capacity as a chemistry, physics, and biology as well as a math and writing tutor. Currently living in Chicago, Illinois, I do take time off to unwind and love to read. My hobbies also include running (for the enjoyment and keeping in shape) and baking.
