I went to the University of Illinois to earn my undergraduate psychology degree, graduating cum laude. I served as a lab technician as an undergraduate assisting in research, which also drove my senior honors thesis. After I complete my degree, I joined AmeriCorps and provided support for middle school students in various subjects. I'm seeking certification in TEFL to teach English overseas. I can assist students with subjects like algebra, biology, literature, English, psychology, grammar, chemistry, essays, and test preparation for exams like the ACT, GED, GRE, ISAT, and others. When I work with students, I focus on their needs and encourage them to develop critical thinking skills. When I have time outside of academics, I like to compose music, perform, read, write poetry, cook, and be involved in politics.
