I am a tutor with extensive experience studying and teaching Spanish. I have a bachelor's degree in Business and master's degree in Philosophy. I have experience teaching classes in both group settings and private settings. I have over five years of experience teaching Literature and Spanish. I come from a Latin background, and I enjoy having conversations with students about Mexican art, movies, books, and just the overall culture in general. I am comfortable teaching Spanish 1- 4, AP Spanish Language, and AP Spanish Literature and Culture. I believe the most effective way for a student to learn a foreign language is to match the language to their interests. Thus, it helps me as a tutor when my students have similar interests to mine. As every student learns differently, I try to use many different strategies in my classes. I like to use games, storytelling, discussions, role playing, workbooks, and topic analysis in my classes. I am also open to trying new strategies if I believe they will make the class more interesting. I also try to encourage my students to think critically. Critical thinking can be used as a way to enrich their lives. In my free time, I enjoy reading, watching movies, and walking around the city.
