I am a tutor with extensive experience studying and teaching Anthropology and English. I graduated with honors from Kenyon College with a bachelor's degree in Anthropology and a bachelor's degree in English. My experience as a tutor began in high school. I helped mentor students at the elementary school level. As a college student, I worked as a teaching assistant in the Anthropology department. I also worked as a writing consultant in the English department. Currently, I am employed as a private tutor for students between the ages of 7 and 17. I am particularly adept at helping students develop effective study methods. I am comfortable tutoring students in English, Literature, Writing, Reading, European History, Cultural Anthropology, and Social Anthropology.One of my best qualities as a teacher is that I am very approachable. I have a way of explaining complex subjects that really helps students understand them. It is especially rewarding for me when I am able to help students become excited about learning. Sometimes certain subjects can seem boring, but I am able to use my passion and enthusiasm to help students get interested in even the driest of subjects. In my free time, I like to sing, paint, ride horses, jog, and hangout with my pets.
