Private tutor in Chicago, IL
The University of Chicago - A.M. (Equivalent of M.S.W.), Social Work
What I love most about tutoring is the opportunity to work as a team with parents, other teachers, and the students themselves to ensure the best education possible is being provided. Some of my best moments during my teaching career include having the privilege to tutor world-class high school athletes through a special private company. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Legal Studies from Northwestern University, and upon graduation I was immediately hired by the American Bar Association as a research assistant. Writing is truly my passion in life, and I enjoy everything from acting as a private consultant for start-up companies who need help writing and editing their business proposals to assisting my students in writing outstanding admission essays to the universities of their choice. I am currently in the process of obtaining my Master of Social Work from the University of Chicago. My specialties are AP English Language, 6th Grade Language arts, Modern World History, ACT and SSAT prep, Psychology, and Humanities. I try to equip my students with a strong vocabulary and an arsenal of writing skills, along with plenty of study techniques and tricks to help them stay organized. Along with writing, I also enjoy yoga and photography.
