I earned my bachelor's degree in English Education with a minor in Speech from the University of South Dakota. While in college, I was able to tutor incoming freshmen who were attempting to get ahead. I later had the opportunity of helping at-risk students at an alternative school nearby. I spent the following years tutoring a variety of subjects such as Social Studies, English, and standardized test prep. On top of that, I was able to substitute teach at a high school in Chicago. I have developed skills through my experiences to help me meet any student's needs. I'm able to tutor students in a variety of history courses, including AP- and IB-level classes.I believe that every student learns differently. Because of this, it is important to tailor my teaching to meet each student's needs. I have developed a patient and understanding manner that helps me with any child in need of academic help. I know that through hard, work any student can succeed.When I am not tutoring, I love to write, spend time with my family, and record music with my band.
