Private tutor in Chicago, IL
BSc. Biochemistry at University of Illinois at Chicago 2016
I currently work as a research technician in an immunology lab at the University of Chicago, graduating from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a BSc. in biochemistry Dec. 2016. While attending UIC, I was a member of the UIC honors college, an E-board member on UIC Society of Future Physicians, and a research assistant at the UIC College of Medicine. With a passion for applying quantitative reasoning to project based initiatives, I have also led two separate projects endorsed by the Clinton Global Initiative University in addition to starting the UIC incubator group, the Social Outreach Program.

I tutored frequently in high school through my schools NHS chapter and I did a little bit while at UIC. I seek to be a tutor again because I enjoyed my experience tutoring in high school and I believe I have something unique to offer my students. I ended up in the top 10% of my high school graduating class, but I wasn't always a very good student. I struggled with ADHD and as such had to develop a unique study regiment that would work for me. I went from getting B's and C's to being a straight A student the latter two years of High School. I think as a tutor, I can really help kids unlock their potential so they don't have to go through a rough academic period. It doesn't take a genius to be a good student, it takes preparation and motivation. I think I can provide that.
