Education

I got my bachelors in International Studies at Loyola University Chicago with minors in Asian languages and Asian studies. I also studied abroad at the Beijing Center for Chinese Studies located on the campus of the University of International Business and Economics (commonly known as UIBE or 对外经济贸易大学). I also lived in Taipei, Taiwan for a year teaching ESL in Chinese.

Experience

I've been speaking Mandarin Chinese for over six years and during the past six years I have tutored many students from high schoolers to middle-aged CEOs. I have tutored beginner to advanced levels for both English as a Second Language and Mandarin Chinese, having the most success teaching using experiential methods and giving my students a safe place to practice.

Hobbies

My favorite pass time is studying many different languages and traveling around the world. While I'm home I enjoy going to concerts, art museums, or, if I can get a team together, playing volleyball. I love learning about the world and the cultures of all the languages I study.
