Experience

Illinois Licensed Teacher Taught second grade (2013-2014) Taught first grade (2014-2015) Currently teach Kindergarten (2015-2016) I taught at a Tier 1+ school (top ten single site elementary school) in Chicago, IL. 2nd and 3rd grade summer math and reading tutor (2014 & 2015) I want to be a tutor because everyone needs a little support. I love children, and i love teaching them even more! Kids can grow and be anything that want to be. The world is at their feet. Let's help them get their feet on the ground. If we work together, we can build their confidence which will lead to academic success. "Struggling readers" is not a title for children, it is a situation. A child who is titled a "struggling reader" is a child that needs extra support. When a child has an adult with experience in reading intervention, they will be able to gain confidence in themselves to start to build foundational skills that will propel them into fluent reading. I can and have been that adult, and have a significant track record in reading intervention success.
