Experience
I love to teach and work with students of all ages. I started tutoring at the age of 12, working with young ESL students on their reading and writing skills. I have been studying French for 10 years and recently studied abroad in Paris where I held an internship as a TA in middle school English and French classrooms. I currently work for the Unit 4 school district as a French translator and interpreter. I also volunteer at Urbana High School tutoring in a French classroom as well as working with French-speaking students. Pursuing a career in ESL/bilingual education, I am passionate about education and the promotion of language and culture.

Hobbies
My favorite pass time has always been reading. My favorite books range from Harry Potter (which I am currently re-reading in French) to To Kill a Mockingbird to Baudelaire's Les Fleurs du Mal. Equally important to me is music. I have been singing since before I can remember and I enjoy rocking out to almost any genre. I am also a great lover of the outdoors and take any opportunity I can to go on a hike or an adventure. Although I consider myself a bit of a nerd, I like to kick back and goof off with friends. I love to learn new things but sometimes what I need most is a good dance party.
