I come from a family of educators and it was through their influence that I became one myself. I truly feel that I am honoring my family members each time that I am able to empower a student with reaching their academic, personal, or professional goals. I believe in making a lasting impression on each of the student's that I work with by providing a positive learning experience. My favorite subject to tutor is reading because I believe that reading is the foundation to learning all other subjects. Reading has always been an important part of the education process to my family. In fact, my great grandma was able to teach herself to read by using a dictionary and newspaper crosswords. My grandma holds a PhD in mathematics and a masters in counseling. My mother also held a career as a public school art teach and continues to teach health and wellness. In addition, I enjoy tutoring elementary level math. I earned an advanced degree in public service, my undergraduate in agricultural economics, and graduated from the agricultural sciences high school in Chicago. I have experience working as a tutor in reading, math, sciences, and vocabulary.
