University of Illinois at Chicago - Bachelors, Biological Sciences & Psychology

The University of Illinois-Chicago rewarded me with two bachelor's degrees, one in biological sciences and one in psychology. While attending UIC, I dedicated myself to developing study skills that allowed me to learn more in a shorter amount of time. As a tutor, I work hard to impart the strategies that I learned so that each student can become more efficient in their learning. I strive to find ways to relate the subject to the student's personal life. I work one-on-one with students in many subject areas. I have a solid understanding of organic chemistry, neurobiology, microbiology, genetics, and biochemistry. I can work with students in AP biology, psychology, social sciences, and math of all levels. As a tutor, I make a point of being available for questions, homework help, and test prep. I'm capable of teaching students study techniques that are suited to specific material and more general aspects of learning. College students can seek me out for assistance in certain psychology or biology classes while high school students can take advantage of ACT test prep sessions. Outside of tutoring, I am a certifiable geek. I love video games, comic books, and collectibles. I also enjoy listening to music and reading books.
