Experience

I am currently a fourth year medical school student in Chicago for my clinical rotations. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in 2008 and worked for 4 years in a pharmaceutical company in their clinical research division. After that I began medical school in 2012 and will be graduating in April 2016. During medical school, I got formal clinical research training part-time at Harvard medical school and worked as a research fellow in neurology. I have several publications in this field and am now a research fellow in Pediatric Cardiology at Advocate Christ Children's Hospital in Oak Lawn. I am also taking a Teaching Assistant training course right now that will help me become a better teaching assistant in the 2016 distance education program at TH Chan Harvard School of Public Health. Given that this is my final semester in school, I do have some down time and will have time after graduating until I apply for resident physician positions for 2017 and prepare Step 3 of my board examinations. Since I have had a long academic career, I think tutoring would be the perfect way to pass on some of my knowledge and help others , while also keeping me in touch with academics. I believe the best way to learn is by teaching, so I view this as an opportunity for me and my students to learn together and get different perspectives from one another. Below are some of my standardized test scores: *MCAT Completed in 2007 - Score; 29R *USMLE Step 1 complete in 2014 - Score: 224 *USMLE Step 2 CK complete in 2015 - Score: 215 *USMLE Step 2 CS complete in 2015 - Pass *Undergraduate GPA - 3.0 *Medical School GPA - 3.9
