I attended the Ithaca College Park School of Communications where I completed a Bachelor of Science. I am also qualified to teach English as a Second Language and am TESOL/TESL/TEFL certified by Oxford Seminars at the University of Illinois at Chicago campus. I am a professional journalist who has won a Colorado Press Association Award for Best Health Feature. My specialty is teaching English to non-native speakers and teaching writing - especially advanced courses - to students of all ages. My tutoring sessions are relaxed and fun, but we never lose sight of our goal. I have been very successful in keeping my students engaged and motivated during our lessons, and this has helped them to accomplish more than they had imagined.
