Hobbies
I love reading, writing (especially creative writing), babysitting, and volunteering with kids. I recently moved to Hyde Park, and am exploring schools in the neighborhood while applying for full-time teaching jobs! Last year, I taught 4th-6th reading at a charter school on the northwest side. I did my student teaching in India this summer, where I gained experience teaching 3rd graders all subjects while they were simultaneously learning English. Currently, I'm a freelance blogger and substitute teacher with Distinctive Schools. I will be subbing at University of Chicago Laboratory Schools (lower school) starting in January 2016. When I'm not teaching, blogging, or babysitting, you will probably find me walking my friend's golden, Jake around the neighborhood parks.
