Experience

I've been educating others for eight years. As a tutor, I started in high school assisting students with Latin at the high school level and math and reading at the elementary school level. As an undergraduate at Oberlin, I assisted in a third grade classroom, tutored algebra for high schoolers, and mentored high school students in application essays and grade improvement. I graduated from Oberlin in 2012 having studied computer science and Latin, and then I spent two years teaching ESL in China. I worked with everyone from beginning readers to adults, and I enjoy finding the right place for each student where they feel both supported and challenged. I can tutor algebra, geometry, elementary and middle school math, trigonometry, computer science, Mandarin Chinese, ESL, Latin, reading, writing, essays, history, and social studies. In my free time, I enjoy playing the guitar, listening to music, singing, dancing, and reading.
