I attended Anderson University for my bachelor's degrees in theater and Spanish. I was accepted into the Foreign Language Honor Society as well, and I took additional courses in German. I'm originally from Kyrgyzstan, and I also speak Russian and Kyrgyz. I've three years of experience helping students learn Spanish and English. I worked with everyone from small children to young adults. I encourage a lot of immersion for my students, and I utilize media, activities, and other techniques to simulate that. I believe watching films in other languages with subtitles in your native language and reading are two of the best ways to practice. I will also modify my lesson plans based on what engages and works for my students. When I have free time, I like to watch movies, listen to music, read, travel, try new foods, and explore the city.
