I earned a bachelor's degree in biology at Framingham State University, concentrating on wildlife and environmental biology. After graduating I took an internship in habitat restoration at Fermilab. This experience inspired me to earn my PhD. My academic background is strong in life sciences, US history, biology, ecology, and public speaking. I'm enthusiastic and energetic, and I'm driven to help others achieve success. I'm very flexible as a tutor, and I will work with students in the way that they learn best, but I enjoy using visual resources in my sessions. I believe students learn best when they reteach material, because it helps them hone their understanding and helps them become confident in their abilities. When I have free time, I enjoy football, walking, playing Scrabble, and dogs.
