I attended Claremont McKenna College (California) on a full scholarship and completed a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Legal Studies. My teaching experience was gained from tutoring students for admission to colleges and universities by firming up their basic skills in reading and writing and by preparing them to take the ACT. I have worked with multiple students who achieved scores of 10 or above on the ACT writing section, and pupils who have raised their overall scores by learning to eliminate answers based on context and to rely on comprehension, instead of memorization. I've had students determined to attend prestigious institutions gain admission to Dartmouth, MIT, Occidental, and Stanford. I am ready to work with you or your student on Reading, Writing, Essay Editing, Literature, College Essays, American History, AP United States History, Public Speaking, AP U.S. Government & Politics, English, Social Studies, Government, US History, High School English, College English, Comparative Literature, and test prep for quizzes, mid-terms, and final exams. If the ACT is on your calendar, I am very experienced in teaching overall tips to taking the ACT, along with extensive work in teaching ACT Writing. Besides teaching and tutoring, I like to spend time reading, following world politics, and cheering on Chicago's sports teams.
