Experience
I tutored my fellow students in the Learning Center at my high school for two years. There, we worked on English, History, and Creative Writing courses. I have continued to edit essays for friends throughout school. On the ACT I scored perfectly (36) in both English and Reading. I have published a book and am in the middle of writing another at the moment. I have taken multiple workshops, literary analysis classes, and led a couple days of an ACT prep course. I want to tutor because it is incredibly rewarding to help someone realize their true potential. Especially when it's in a subject that I love so much and feel so strongly towards. In subjects like English, passion is just as important as learning the rules. I would love to be able to pass that feeling on to my students.
