Experience
I tutored my fellow students in the Learning Center at my high school for two years. There, we worked on English, History, and Creative Writing courses. I have continued to edit essays for friends throughout school. On the ACT I scored perfectly (36) in both English and Reading. I have published a book and am in the middle of writing another at the moment. I have taken multiple workshops, literary analysis classes, and led a couple days of an ACT prep course. I want to tutor because it is incredibly rewarding to help someone realize their true potential. Especially when it's in a subject that I love so much and feel so strongly towards. In subjects like English, passion is just as important as learning the rules. I would love to be able to pass that feeling on to my students.

Hobbies
I spend my free time hanging out with friends, reading, riding my bike down the lakefront trail, and immersing myself in the Chicago poetry scene. I love to go to the beach or go out of the city for hiking and camping trips. That said, some of my favorite nights are just staying at home with friends, eating food and watching good television.
