• Graduated from high school with honors. • Tutored individuals for GED prep. • Teacher's Aide at Everglades University for Computer Skills class. • Have over five years in business management experience. This includes team building, training, and leadership. • Homeschooled my two daughters early for Pre-K. (My oldest daughter scored well above average in all subjects and needed advanced placement. My youngest will be starting school next Fall.) • Tutored a 2nd grader who was struggling with math and reading comprehension. (I identified his individual weaknesses and helped him turn them into strengths. He improved significantly. Now that he is in the 3rd grade, I only see him occasionally, when he's having some minor difficulties.) • Worked as an after school educational activities instructor for underprivileged youth (main classes were kindergarten and 1st grade) I have always loved to learn, even as a child. Now that I am older, I enjoy to sharing my knowledge with others. I take an individualized approached to teaching. Each person has their own preference and way of retaining information. I identify this in the individual and teach to their strengths. Unfortunately, many of our schools do not teach to the individual, they teach to the standard. I believe that this is a reason why many of our students fall behind. Should you choose me to be your tutor, I will teach to the individual. It is my goal to have the student not just passing tests, but learning the material - retaining it! By engaging my students, I hope that we can share a love of learning together.
