Experience
I am currently a graduate student at the University of Chicago. I study clinical social work and social services. I enjoy being a student as much as I enjoy working with students. I have plenty of experience teaching, with both classroom experience and also one-on-one experience. I have helped tutor students from varying ages and also varying abilities. I am experienced in tutoring multiple subjects including ACT prep, PSAT prep, writing, reading, psychology, history, and elementary level math. I know that each student has different strengths and abilities. I believe that each student can grow those strengths, and that every student can be successful and achieve their goals.I make sure to be as invested as my student in their work. I work with them to help grow strategies and skills to improve problem solving and to help academically. I like to first identify what the student knows and then set goals from there. I believe that by setting goals, a student may better work towards that goal. I like to make sure the student and I stay on task so that we may achieve their academic goals.In my free time I enjoy long distance running, reading a good book, and watching a movie while relaxing.
