I am a Senior Nursing Major and Psychology Minor at Saint Xavier University. My GPA is 3.3/4.0. I graduate in May 2016 from Saint Xavier University. My strongest areas of study are sciences, math, and study skills/organization. I have received academic scholarships from my university and outside sponsors for my academic success.
Experience
For the duration of my college career, I have made it an utmost priority to be involved in the academic community through leadership roles. This priority has led me to hold various positions which require me to take responsibility for the academic well-being of many students. My position as Resident Peer Academic Leader required me to host weekly events on campus which promoted collaboration among students in their studying efforts. I was also required to plan events which relieved the large amount of stress which many college freshman experience. Another professional role which has given me experience in classroom management was my role as a Transitions Peer Mentor. In this role, I facilitated group discussions and lead activities in a class designed to ease the transition of freshman college students into the new environment of college life. I believe these experiences, along with my studious habits, make me the ideal tutor.
