I've spent the last ten years tutoring and teaching Mathematics to students from the middle school to the college level. I want my students to ask lots of questions and think about different ways to solve a problem. I encourage my students to dig deep and have a strong understanding of mathematical principles. This helps them learn key concepts quicker and creates a broader knowledge base that will serve them well as they tackle harder subjects. Mathematics can be intimidating and to ease this intimidation, I try to approach the material from multiple angles and using different methods of teaching that make the students feel at ease. I attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Eastern Illinois University, studying and developing a passion for Mathematics. I want to project my appreciation for a good education and I want to motivate my students to set learning goals and appreciate their own successes when they reach those goals. I tutor in the areas of all levels of Algebra, Calculus, Geometry, Elementary and Middle School Math, Statistics, Trigonometry, Competition Math, Arithmetic, Finite Mathematics, AP Calculus, AP Statistics, and Discrete Math. I also do test preparation for the SAT, ACT, and International Baccalaureate program.
