Mickey N.
Private tutor in Chicago, IL
Education
I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 2009, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honors (3.52 GPA). My two Majors were Anthropology and Psychology with a Minor in Writing. I was also a Howard Nemerov Writing Scholar and a National Merit Scholar.
Experience
I tutored fellow students all four years in high school during which time I received a 1560 on my SAT and a 34 on my ACT. After graduating from college I moved to New York City where I worked as an editor/junior agent for six years at Writers House, a prestigious Manhattan literary agency with clients such as Stephen Hawking, Michael Lewis, Nora Roberts, John Green, and Stephenie Meyer, among others. I want to be a tutor because I like working with teenagers and helping them learn new things. To share in learning with another person makes me happy, and I bring this joy to all my students!

Hobbies
I am an avid reader (at least three books a week), an experienced guitar player (over fourteen years), and, much to my girlfriend's embarrassment, a regular rollerblader on the Chicago streets. I also love going to the movies, rooting for Everton, an often woeful English Premier League soccer club, and perfecting my technique for cooking Home Run Inn's frozen pizzas :)
