I come from California, but I am now a Chicago girl, teaching and performing in the city as a profession. I attended Northwestern University, where I graduated magna cum laude with a Theater and English Literature degree. My concentration was on Theater for Young Audiences throughout my time at Northwestern. My success in writing is evident, as I had a part of my thesis published in the Madison Journal of Literary Criticism. For five years, I have taught drama, and I have mentored students on test preparation. Subjects I have experience with include ESL, essay writing, SAT and ACT skills prep, and literature. In my past, I was given the opportunity to volunteer as a teaching artist at the Seesaw Theater. (The Seesaw Theater is an establishment that gears its performances towards people who suffer from autism.) My journey in instruction has led me to work with students of all ages and levels of comprehension. I can guide elementary through high school students to success in learning, regardless of their needs.I am a true blue performer. When I am not teaching, you can find me on stage. I love to appreciate a good, old movie or to travel to new places.
