Private tutor in Chicago, IL

Education

Columbia University in New York, BA in Neuroscience and Behavior, Graduated 2014 University of Chicago, PhD student in Neurobiology, Expected graduation 2021

Experience

Tutored high school students through Columbia's Double Discovery program in math and science. Tutored undergrads at Uchicago in neuroscience. Previously worked in neurobiology labs at Columbia's Medical Center and in Germany as an undergraduate. Currently a PhD candidate at Uchicago. I like to use analogies when teaching students concepts, tying together theoretical math/science problems with real life examples. I think it's important to appreciate all subjects; for example, both math and literature are beautiful in their own ways. I also enjoy talking about current events and learning about my students themselves.
