I have spent my life in pursuit of learning and I enjoy helping others learn. As a former teacher, marketing communications professional, editor, and writer my career focused on the intersection of communications and education. I graduated from Northwestern University with a master's degree in Marketing Communications from Illinois Institute of Technology. I have tutored students at all academic levels and at every age in subjects such as writing, grammar, vocabulary, reading, math, social studies, and ESL. I spent many years teaching English as a Second Language, TOEFL preparation, and Pronunciation. I have each taught my fellow tutors how to teach Adult Literacy. As I teacher I try to steer my students towards mastering concepts by breaking them down to smaller steps, making time for practice and repetition, and keeping the lessons fun. I am available to tutor during the summer months.My hobbies are going to plays, dance, and music concerts, visiting museums, tap dancing, photography, and healthy cooking.
