I received my degree in social work from the University of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois. Originally from Chengdu, China, I spent three-fourths of my life residing there and speaking the language. Currently, my job is in social work, providing families with therapy. Mandarin Chinese is my native language and English is my second language. Because of this, I know very well how difficult and frustrating it can be to learn a new world language; I have experienced this firsthand. As a native speaker of Chinese, I can provide an authentic tutoring experience. I am highly qualified to tutor students in Mandarin Chinese I, II, and III. In addition, I can also tutor English and ESL/ELL. I am very excited to help students learn Chinese. I particularly enjoy the process of language acquisition. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, swimming, and bowling.
