About me: I like helping people succeed. To truly excel in school and in life, a person needs the desire to learn and the fulfillment of using that knowledge. That's why my goal is to foster motivation in my students when it comes to their education. Every student is different, and what works for some may not work for others. I aim to understand my students' needs and find a solution that helps them find their own drive to keep improving and learning. Whether helping someone formulate a thesis and supporting essay structure or discussing creative fiction and plot, I'm passionate about writing. While a student at the University of Colorado I began specializing in writing workshops. As a copywriter currently, words are my trade. If reading, writing, or anything related to the English language gives you pause, I can help. I also have a science background, having studied geology, but I've tutored peers in lower-level physics and chemistry courses too. Additionally, I have experience tutoring students of algebra, trigonometry and pre-calculus. If a scientific or mathematical concept, technique, or idea is having a hard time sinking in, I can assist. Often it's just a matter of clearer explanation and a bit of practice.

Hobbies
Outside of writing, my major hobby is comedy and performance. I regularly perform in improv and sketch comedy shows around town. Behind the scenes I've worked lights and sound, designed sound, and built sets. Having grown up in Colorado, I also love the outdoors, and try to hike and camp as much as possible whenever I'm out of the city. With my geology background, even staring at rocks all day can be fascinating!
