I have been tutoring students from grades K-adult since 2002, both privately and with organizations such as Club Z! Tutoring, Huntington Learning, Newton Learning, and as a Title I teacher. I currently teach a Title I funded reading program and have previously worked as a reading specialist and mathematics tutor at various schools. I have experience administering diagnostic tests that enable me to pinpoint my students' academic needs. I love tutoring because I am able to make learning fun and meaningful for my students. The most rewarding thing about tutoring is when my student has that "aha!" moment when something finally clicks for them, and I feel that I enabled that connection to happen.

When I am not teaching, I like traveling, gardening, reading, solving word and number puzzles, physical fitness, environmental awareness, gourmet cooking and music and fine arts appreciation. I am active in my local neighborhood association; I volunteer at my daughter's school and the local food pantry. I enjoy finding ways to interject creativity into my teaching so that learning is fun and meaningful for my students.
