Experience
I primarily tutor students in test prep (specializing in LSAT, GRE, and SAT/ACT), in writing (everything from short assignments to theses/dissertations), and in English/literature. Let me tell you a bit about my experience/qualifications. I have received 99th percentile scores on the GRE, SAT, ACT, and PSAT. I received a 97th percentile score (170) on the LSAT. I have been teaching writing, rhetoric, and literature at Syracuse University for three years. While there, I really developed a passion for connecting with students. My students highlighted my ability to introduce them to new and difficult/abstract concepts. I have been tutoring since leaving Syracuse and have loved the experience of working one-on-one with students.

Hobbies
As a tutor, I'm very dedicated, patient, and responsible. In addition, I'm very kind and easy to talk to, and I have excellent people skills and a good sense of humor. In my free time, I love to read (favorite writers include Thomas Pynchon, Joan Didion, Raymond Carver), watch television (just finished re-watching The Wire and am currently re-watching Mad Men), watch movies (really like Stanley Kubrick, Richard Linklater), etc. I like running and yoga. I'm starting to get a lot more interested in visual art--I've been going to the AIC a lot since coming back to the city. And I'm a big baseball fan (Cubs, to be specific).
