Education
I graduated from my undergrad with a B.S. Biomedical Sciences and a double minor in Psychology & Chemistry from Western Michigan University. I was able to graduate with a GPA of 3.69 and I was on Dean's List almost every semester. After finishing up my undergrad, I decided to go back to school to get a teacher certification because I've always known I love teaching/coaching students. I now have a teaching certification in Biology & I ended the program in that with a 3.83.
Experience
I have not done much for formal tutoring, but I student taught for a whole year in 9th grade biology & 10th grade chemistry. I think tutoring is a great way for students to get the one-on -one time to learn a subject because sometimes it is difficult getting the help you need in a classroom full of other students. It can be intimidating to ask questions. I majored in Biomedical Sciences, so my focus during school was biology of the human. I took core biology, human anatomy, human physiology, microbiology, genetics, cell biology, endocrinology, physics, general chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, & I am sure there was more.
