I am a recent graduate from Northwestern University. I obtained my B.A. in Theater. Over the past six years, I have been tutoring in everything from writing to algebra. I find this to be a very rewarding experience, as I am not only helping my students, but I am oftentimes learning new things as well.I believe that effective learning comes from having a true interest in the subject matter, as well as a desire to do well. I have found that even finding just one facet of a subject that grabs the attention of the student is enough to get them to see learning as an exciting and engaging endeavor, instead of just some chore that they have to do.Some of the additional subjects that I am well-versed in include anatomy, chemistry, organic chemistry, algebra 1, algebra 2, trigonometry, elementary and middle school math, reading, writing, essay editing, Spanish, physics, physiology, SAT, SAT critical reading, SAT math, SAT verbal, SAT writing, study skills and organization, biochemistry, public speaking, English, and test prep.In my free time, I enjoy dancing, singing, going to the theater, playing Frisbee, knitting, and reading.
