Two years tutoring in elementary school and privately in homes. 32 on the ACT with writing. I know I love tutoring, and want to continue to help make learning accessible and enjoyable. Curiosity is key, so I work with students to discover what is interesting and relevant about any given topic. I have taken three semesters of a class that focused on effective tutoring. Other things about me: I helped start a non-profit to fight gentrification in Philadelphia while increasing access to affordable housing and education, I ran the meditation club and wrestling team at Oberlin, was part of a small seminar that was awarded a grant to teach the neuroscience of addiction to an 8th grade class, I love cooking, and being outside and reading fantasy books makes me happy.
