Experience

I have tutored at the elementary, middle, high school and college levels in math, physics and chemistry. I love helping students to really understand the physical phenomena behind chemistry and physics, as opposed to just being able to do the math. I have completed AP Chemistry, a major in physics, a minor in chemistry and a masters degree in engineering, so there aren't many math, physics or chemistry classes (at least through the college level) that I haven't taken.

***I recently returned from a trip to Houston during which I conducted research with NASA on their "Weightless Wonder," a plane which simulates zero-gravity. Please see my profile picture for evidence!*** I am an incredibly well-rounded person: outside of my education I have participated in LGBTQ activism work by volunteering at a local LGBTQ+ community center and by leading the Queer Pride Graduate Student Association at Northwestern. I also enjoy getting outside regularly, whether through a long bike ride, a camping trip, a visit to the botanical gardens, or a weekend rock climbing getaway. I love animals of all shapes and sizes, keep a porch vegetable garden of my own, and if all of the aforementioned activities don't totally deplete me of free time, I'll sit down and knit, play board games, or enjoy some time well-spent on video games.
