Experience
My tutoring experience ranges from grade school to college levels, up to and including Calculus II and College Physics. I've tutored at Penn State's Learning Center as well as students at home. My passion for education comes through in my teaching methods, as I believe that all students have the ability to learn a subject as long as it is presented to them in a way in which they are able to grasp. I use both analytical as well as graphical methods or a combination of the two as needed to cater to each student. Having both an Engineering and Architecture background, I am able to explain difficult concepts to either a left or right-brained student, verbally or with visual representations. I am also great at getting students excited about the subject they are learning by relating it to something relevant to them. My passion about education led me to co-found a college coaching program in Philadelphia, which provided essay writing and college application coaching. Through this program, I have insight into the college application review process and can help a student discover their application theme/personal branding as well as construct thoughtful essay responses.
