I've been a professional tutor for several years and continue to enjoy doing so. For me, it is about collaboration and learning the subject matter together. I create priorities so my students are willing to conform with moving forward, while working as what I think of as a teammate, rather than a teacher. My goal is for each person I tutor to grow until they no longer need me and are equipped with the knowledge and tools to do well. I see tutoring as an opportunity to find and grow confidence in one's abilities while having some fun collaborating.Reading and writing, literature, grammar, vocabulary, and essay editing are subjects I help with. Others include fiction, poetry, creative, and persuasive writing, Shakespeare, and public speaking. I can therefore help my student excel in the English language which is so important to doing well in school and finding success in one's career and overall life. Writing is also an undeniably useful skill.Currently in Columbia College - Chicago, I am studying Theatre Acting and Creative Writing. My hometown is Lyndhurst, Ohio. I am a big consumer of baked goods and, in my free time, love writing, the theater, literature, and traveling.
