I studied at Marquette University, which is where I received a degree in public relations. I then went to Alverno College and received a certificate for teaching in special education. My specification is in learning disabilities. I have taught children with special needs such as ADHD and autism. I am proud to say that I work hard to provide my students with a positive learning experience.I have worked as a third and fourth grade special education teacher for the previous three years. As an educator, I have found that I need to be my student's cheerleader, parent, disciplinarian, role model, and a shoulder that they can cry on.I have the ability to tutor students in all grades up to the sixth grade in reading, writing, math, study skills, test prep, and organizational skills.Some of the subjects that I am well versed in include elementary and middle school math, writing, reading, essay editing, literature, phonics, math, English, and grammar and mechanics.In my spare time, I enjoy socializing, reading, traveling, volleyball, yoga, and exercising.
