As part of my credentialing program to teach high school English as well as my MA in English, I have taken a number of courses on teaching methods and am confident I can work with any student regardless of his or her current abilities. I am well equipped to tutor all ability levels in composition, reading, literature, and grammar grades 7-12, college, and graduate level students. In edition to my experience in English and related fields, I am currently pursuing a PhD in religious studies at Northwestern University. My interests are in German philosophy, theology, and social theory of the early 20th century. I am able to tutor college students in any introductory religious studies course as well as more advanced courses in or related to the Jewish and Christian traditions. I am also qualified to tutor seminary students especially in theology. Finally, I have the ability to tutor students in introductory philosophy courses as well as courses in the German tradition from the Enlightenment to the present, social and critical theory, cultural studies, and post-structuralism.
