ExperienceI excel at teaching physics. I gained most of my teaching experience while I was pursuing my Master of Science in Physics from Boston University. While at BU, I led discussion groups and tutored students during the appointed office hours. For one semester, I co-taught physics at the high school level with a certified high school teacher. I can help students master physics concepts and prepare for the SAT Physics subject test, the AP Physics tests, and the IB Physics exam.In order for a student to have a good understanding in physics, he or she must have a strong math foundation and understand calculus. I can assist students with math disciplines taught at all levels of school, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and of course, calculus.During my tutoring sessions with my students, I focus not only on the subject matter, but also general skills like problem solving and critical thinking. Improving these skills translates into better performance in the STEM classes. It is important that I remain engaged with my students and respond to their individual learning needs through careful communication. In my free time, I enjoy cycling, rock climbing, playing billiards, and reading.
