I'm a full-time student at the University of Illinois at Chicago and am graduating with a B.A. in Elementary Education in December 2016.
Experience
I've been tutoring for two school years in a Chicago public elementary school classroom. I'm excited to tutor during the 2015-2016 academic year as well! In 2013-2014, I tutored students in second grade. In 2014-2015, I tutored those same students as third-graders. I plan to tutor the same class this academic year, as fourth-graders. The class I've tutored have had a tremendous variety of personalities and capabilities. I've tutored students at the top of their class, as well as students who are very far behind in their class and differently-abled. The students I've worked with have inspired me to always strive to be a kinder person, and better role model. Tutoring should be an emotionally positive for the tutor and tutee, as well as a method of improving academic performance.
