I am a tutor who excels in mathematics. I'm available to work with students on their algebra, elementary math, middle school math, arithmetic, geometry, and a variety of other math subjects. I'd also love to help out students who are preparing for standardized tests like the SAT and ACT. I received my degree in Economics at Northwestern University. I've been working with students since I was in high school. I've tutored geometry and Spanish, and I've helped prepare high school students for their ACT and SAT exams. I feel comfortable teaching a variety of subjects, but I specialize tutoring math. As a university student I studied advanced mathematics and I believe my experience with math makes me an excellent math tutor. As a tutor I believe it is my job to serve as a guide to my students, helping them successfully learn and grasp the subject material. I not only help my students master the subject at hand, I also encourage them to develop successful study habits. In doing so I am helping them master a subject and be prepared for learning in the future. When I'm not tutoring I enjoy doing improvisational theater, playing the piano, and watching movies and TV shows.
