I graduated high school from Chicago Public Schools, and went to college in California. I have five years of one-on-one tutoring experience in California and Illinois. I tutor Mathematics in both English and Spanish. My structure for the tutoring lessons involves 1) breaking down concepts to deepen and retain understanding of the material, and 2) diverse sample of practice problems to be prepared and comfortable for any evaluation. I work with my students to develop patient problem-solving skills that they can apply to any new Math topic they encounter in future classes. Most importantly, I focus on a wholesome approach to Math, that encourages self-confidence in the subject.
