University of Chicago - BA, Theater and Performance Studies / English Language and Literature (double major)

I graduated from University of Chicago in 2012 with a BA in English Language and Literature and Theater and Performance Studies. I still live in Chicago and I am a founder of a storefront theater company, the First Floor Theater, now in its third season. I have tutored numerous students from all backgrounds and at all academic levels in a wide range of subjects. I also teach acting classes in a Chicago studio. My passion is Literature and the English Language, especially stage plays. I enjoy teaching my students critical thinking through reading and writing. It is my belief that these skills are essential for success, not just in school, but in life. I have been very lucky to have been a student at fine schools and I push my students to seize every academic opportunity they can.I can tutor in subjects other than reading and writing. I am also able to tutor Spanish 1-4, ACT and SAT preparation, history, and social studies. In my free time, you will usually find me visiting the theater, camping, or playing basketball.
