I have been teaching and tutoring both Spanish and ESL for over 20 years. Working with students 5 to 80 has given me unique experiences. I enjoy working one-on-one to see my students make progress in the language they are learning. Whether it is for school, business or travel, it is great to see things fall into place once language acquisition begins. I have an education background (B.S.) and have an M.A. in Spanish, specializing in Penninsular Civilization. Although I am not from Spain, I did spend 7 years living there. 9 out of 10 books I read are in Spanish! I love listening to Spanish radio or watching news online, which was not an option when I was a student. Technology has been a wonderful thing to impliment into language learning.

My main hobbies and interests include: travel, reading, keeping fit, exploring Chicago, animals and nature, museums, current events, music, concerts, art, following the Bulls and Blackhawks, soccer, spoiling my nieces and nephew, art festivals, photography and more!
