I received my bachelor's degree in English with a focus in literary studies and French from DePaul University. During my undergraduate studies, I served as a tutor in the University Center for Writing-Based Learning, where I had the opportunity to help a diverse range of students who were working on a wide variety of writing assignments.This helped me hone my skills in adapting to different students' learning styles, which is an asset in my tutoring sessions. As a tutor, I encourage my students to ask questions and take an active role in the learning process. I like to lead my students to the answers through asking questions, using examples, and referencing concepts the student has already mastered. I'm most passionate about teaching students English skills, like reading, writing, literature, editing, and public speaking, but I can also tutor students learning French. I spent one of my undergraduate semesters in France, and during my time there, I became a true Francophile. I love all things French, and I enjoy bringing all sorts of French culture into my lessons. I find playing a role in my students' successes incredibly rewarding!In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing, dancing, watching movies, and playing the piano.
