I have a bachelor's degree in Humanities and Art History from New College of Florida, the Honors College of Florida. Currently, I enjoy working as a tour guide for Chicago's Architecture River Tours. In addition to educating the public about the history of Chicago, I have enjoyed learning improv at The Second City Training Center. I have a passion for sharing history and information in a fun and entertaining way, especially to school groups.With a background in art, history and public speaking, I most enjoy helping my students in the areas of public speaking, art history, reading, writing, grammar, and geography. I am a gifted coach, and I get a great deal of fulfillment out of helping my students build confidence. I give them permission to make mistakes, as this is natural when working towards a goal. I like to have fun, and I tend to be a rather goofy person. I especially enjoy helping students write their personal statements and college essays. I am also able to tutor students in all levels of French, preparation for the PSAT, SAT, FCAT, and GRE, history, social studies, art, and psychology.In my free time, I enjoy travel, drawing, trivia, playing board games, reading, comedy, and good food.
