EducationLoyola University-Chicago - BA, International Studies
ExperienceI have just recently returned from a semester in China, where I plan to return in the autumn of next year, after I graduate from Loyola University. Currently, I am in my senior year, studying for a degree in International Studies. My minors are in Chinese and English. I have also been learning Spanish and German, too. Languages are fascinating to me. I've tutored English to students in China, helping them to brush up on their skills in conversation. I have also tutored reading skills to elementary-level children in the United States.Overall, I would say that my preferred area of focus in tutoring would be reading and writing English. So many people aspire to learn the language, and I am honored to share with them all of the ins-and-outs. I feel like the biggest contributing factor in success is student interest. If you are captivated by a subject, you are more likely to remember things about it. So, I try to introduce methods that can give the students something to be excited about.Aside from learning and teaching languages, I like to dance, take part in travel, and attend theater productions.
